Looking for small powered speakers that are remote controlable

Im looking for a small pair of speakers that are powered & are controlable by a wireless remote. I want to hook them up to my TV, however it doenst have a variable audio output so I must be able to control the speaker's volume with a remote.

Any suggestions?

A two channel receiver or integrated amp + some bookshelfs is probably the way to go. Try Vanns.com or you can find lots of really nice used high-end gear on Audiogon.com.

Yeah, if it's really open then bookshelf speakers + some kind of receiver / amp with remote would be good.

How small do the speakers have to be?
Could you add a subwoofer to give yourself 2.1?

I dont have room for a receiver. I ended up getting the Boston Acoustics TVee model 2
