Looking for small firewall

I have a thin client computer running Windows XP SP3 embedded with a 660 MHz processor. What kinds of small foot print firewalls are out there? There is no Windows firewall.

If you're running Windows XP Embedded, there's a good chance that traditional Windows software firewalls won't work since they may not have the libraries they need to run. You'll want to look at a hardware firewall.

XP Embedded provides the full Windows API, and support for the full range of applications and device drivers written for Windows XP. Check out this excellent lightweight firewall + HIPS: small footprint, sophisticated, fast, highly configurable if desired, and free: PrivateFirewall

That's the same one I was going to say.

I use a couple other firewalls on other computers, but I think this one fits the OP the best. There are other "small-footprint" choices, but I found them lacking such as no HIPs, etc. I know some people will say you don't need HIPS, and that's fine.

Because when I downloaded torrents I had connection attempts other than for the torrent. I use Comodo on my other computers.

Well, when the port is already open by an application then someone can get in, I seen it happen. A software firewall does more than SPI. And what blocks outbounds?
