Looking for sight on building

Just recieved all my stuff( except the CPU that should be here in a couple) for my first persoanal build. This is what I got from newegg:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Windsor AM2

COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05

ASUS M2NPV-VM Socket AM2 NVIDIA

SeaSonic S12-330 ATX12V 330W

CORSAIR VALUE SELECT 1GB

I found a couple websites for instructions on how to put these together but I figured I seek the advice of anandtech for a recommended sight to refer to in addition to the ones provided. Also one last question, do i need additional thermal paste or does the Retail box come with. Any other tips or suggestions would be great. Thanks all.

The quick startup guides that come with the CPU and MOBO should giude you no problem since it sounds like you are a first time builder. They are pretty self explanitory.
The heatsink for the CPU should come with the thermal paste already attached. If it didn't come in box, you'll need to go get some. You can't piut the heatsink onto the CPU without it. You can, but say bye-bye to your new CPU.

Indeed the mobo guide is usually sufficient. But this one has nice pictures and stuff

sweet thanks and i will be sure to use the gel. I have a friend who has done prior builds who will be helping but i didnt want to be ignorant of the subject

lol thats not true, my first build i forgot the themal paste....man that thing FLEW up to 72C and auto shut down. most systems have themal overload protection nowadays.
