I've been using RegCleaner for ages and for some reason it would crash in my Win XP boxes. It wouldn't even load up and just freeze while it runs perfectly on my Win2k system. Is there other program that you guys recommend?

I believe that's because the Windows XP registry is fairly different than any previous version.

Try RegScrubXP... a quick google should find it, if not I'll try to get the link.

I rec JV powertools v1.396 (if you can find it) ...the last free version of powertools ...the reg cleaner seems to be an improvement over his regular reg cleaner.

It broke up on me on 400 MHz and a 533 MHz 2.0 and 2.53 GHz boxes occasionally ...on an 800 MHz FSB 3.2 P4 it's extremely reliable.

There's a flag in jv16 Powertools version 1.396 that renders it useless at the new year. Version 1.395 doesn't seem to have the flag and still seems to be working fine.
