looking for recommendation on digital camera

My Rioch RDC-6000 digital camera broke yesterday and I am looking for a new digital camera to replace this one. It was having some difficulty focusing, then all the sudden it started giving errors and it wouldn't work anymore. All it does now is make lots of clicking noise then display an error.


These are what I'd like to have in a digital camera and I'd like to get a recommendation that fulfills most of the criteria in the list below and I'm guessing my parents won't pay any more than $500.

I just got a Cannon Powershot A20. Only had it a couple of weeks but I love it. It only has a 3x optical zoom and a 2x digital zoom, but it's all I need. Here is the link Canon Powershot A20 I got it on sale for $350 at Circuit City

Had the A20 and the S110 and this IMHO is a better camera.

I love cannon cameras. I had the s10 for a while. Pictures were generally excellent, and the camera is extremely durable. Dropped it a couple of time onto cement. It dented, but no functional damage. I just bought a s110 for my girlfriend. There are several good deals in the hot deals forum. You could get it for around 250. Beautiful cameral with brilliant pictures. Gets alot of oohs and aahs from the slick appearance as well. Really tiny and shiny.
