I have that same case and am running an Antec TruePower 430W in it though that might be overkill for you. Just take a look at Antecs, Enermaxes, and Fortrons and pick the one that best suits your power needs and budget.

I have the ATX version of the case, and it has a dually celeron board in it with a 350W PC Power and Cooling PSU in it. You'd be well off with a PSU with a long ATX connector.

Actually, I'm still running the original PSU in my Q500. :p It's a 300w PowerMan unit that has been untouched except to exchange the fan for an L1a. It's about 3 1/2 years old and it still runs a considerable amount of stuff (see my sig) including my overclocked tbird for 2 years. What are you planning to put in it?

As in a reccomendation, I reccomend an Antec Sonata case. It comes with a $60 - $70 PSU (Not sure exact cost) and it is a very nice case. the P SU is a 380W from Antec's True Power line. It should be around $100, but I think it is worth every penny. The case is very quiet too!

$50-100

>> 2 HDDs
>> CDRW & DVD
>> floppy

optional (thinking of not putting these, since i have 100gb total HDD space, and a USB drive already):
>> 1 extra HDD (pos-rpm) old 12gb seagate
>> iomega-zip 100mb atapi

i was thinking of getting the slk3700amb, but was thinking of the 1080 before...

options:
1) keep current inwin case, and just change the psu (currently have 300w) to 350W-400+W
2) get slk3700amb ~$60-70
3) or get sonata ~$100

Any ATX should do. If the original is likewise a PowerMan then it is probably a Fortron/Source aka Sparkle, in which case the model number on the label would begin with FSP. Those are good, underrated (technically) units with no superfluous hype or gimmicks which either cost more or mean cheaper components are used to compensate for them. The FSP 400 steps up to the heavier duty range over the 350 models.

It may be cheaper to get a case with a PSU if you don't particularly care what is supplied or if you do not mind being limited to a narrow range of choices. It comes down to a personal decision that only you can make after weighing the options.

tomshardware has a comprehensive review worth checking out and silentpcreview is recommened also if you aren't keen on noise.
