If you're partial to AMD, thats not that bad of a deal. It still is 90nm and there are some brisbanes (65nm) within that price range that are only a few Mhz (not sure if brisbane yield any performance gain over Windsor) lower, which would be better for overclockin on the AMD side. If you have no brand preference (you'd have to upgrade mobo + ram anyways going to AM2) you might want to look into the E2200s from intel, actually cheaper than X2 6000+ and OC very well from what I've seen.
