Looking for pre-production BIOS for Radeon 8500...

So. I have an engineering sample of a R200 card (Radeon 8500). The person that had it previously tried flashing the bios with the current retail version and poof, dead card. I've had difficulty in even identifing for sure the manufacturer, but have reason to believe it's a Hercules. Since it's already 'dead', I've tried flashing it with a few different bios versions for the 8500 that I was able to find online, but nothing worked.

I've contacted both Hercules and ATI and asked for any possible assistance from their tech support. While I wasn't expecting much from them, I was a little surprised that both just blew me off with no response.
If anyone has a Radeon 8500 engineering sample, it would be easy enough to backup it's bios and send me a copy, but first I have to find those individuals. I'd like to try any engineering sample bios, regardless of the board manufacturer, if I could only find them.
I know a good bit about computers, but I don't know what else to do. If you have any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them.

Thanks,
Dan.

Wow, a valid reason to flash your video card's BIOS. 😀

I know there's a few 8500 ES's lurking around, because I remember seeing several people post about them. Try posting a request at the Futuremark boards for 3DMark - I'm sure one of those guys can hook you up.

thanks and thanks, will try those sources next...
What I'm really hoping is someone else here will have an 8500 engineering sample and will save a copy of the bios for me.
