Looking for Photo printer advise, testimonials, horror stories..etc.

I'm in the market for a photo printer. I've read all the reviews that I can stomach and now would like some real world "reviews". I'm looking for a straight forward photo printer. I don't need card readers, lcd displays, or any extra bells and whistles that aren't required to make a good print. I would also like something 5 color (6 including black 🙂). I would love to stay in the $150 to $300 range.

I'm leaning toward an Epson product but am keeping an open mind.

Please let the opinions fly 🙂
