looking for PDA

looking to obtain a palm pilot, a PDA that can be used with mac os x - powerbook g4.

recommendations?

using it to organize daily tasks and keep it with me all the time to jot down notes.

prefer something clean, simple, classic, stylish, not too bulky, and somethign that is just durable that will serve its purpose for a long time.

i don't mind buying it used.

if this is in the wrong category, i apologize.

I'm not too into the Palm scene, but you can also sync a PocketPC with OSX if you buy a sync program. I have one on my Mac at work that I use to sync my G1000, but I can't quite recall the name of it offhand. I'll have to look monday if you're still intersted.

also i don't need internet access or photo/video storing capabilities or color. something that will organize appointments, tasks, dates, have alarms, etc. organization and efficiency is key. and in response to bearxor, thanks, i'm interested in the name of that product. let me know.

If you want to use Apple's own synchronising program, iSync, here's a list of compatible hardware:

This page states that Pocket PCs can be used with an additional software called "The Missing Sync", do you use this, bearxor?

I know of 'The Missing Sync' but I don't believe that is what I'm using. If I get the VPN software installed on my computer tonight, I can VNC into my work PC to find out.

Something else I just thought about with the extra sync program, I'm not sure if it will install applications on the PPC, as I have never tried it. It does sync with Outlook's address book, iCal, among others.

Sorry I'm short on information at this point, I will be able to tell you a lot more about what the program does when I get back to work on Monday. I have stopped using it because I tote my laptop in to work now.

I'm using a software program called 'PocketMac'.

They have different versions depending on what you need. I would try to do an install this morning, but I ran out and forgot my phone at home 🙁
