Looking for PCIe Gen3 1x to SATA 3 RAID 1 adapter

Hi Everyone,

As the title says, I am looking for a RAID 1 adapter card that uses 1 lane of PCIe Gen3 and has 2 SATA III ports... Do you know if such an animal exists? All I see are the old PCIe Gen2 adapters, which are twice slower. I figure with all of the Z170 boards out there that have a bunch of otherwise useless 1x PCIe Gen3 connectors there would be a bunch of cards to take advantage of them?

Thanks!

The only ones out right now are mid-high end RAID cards with 8 SATA ports and cost $300+ and they're PCI-E 3.0 x8, not even sure of an x1 PCI-E 3.0 card.
Your best option is an x2 or x4 PCI-E 2.0 card with 4-6 SATA ports and then just use two.

Thanks! Yea, that's what I also saw for PCIe Gen3, was hoping that I missed something 🙂 My new mobo has 3 PCIe x16 slots, two from CPU and one from the chipset in 4x mode, which I was hoping to use for something like Intel 750. That leaves 3 PCIe 1x slots unused.
