Looking for Packet Generator for testing

Hello,
I am looking for a freeware packet generator. I have purchased a VPN/firewall and I would like to set up a test. I would like to attempt a DOS attack and spoofing and see the firewall drop the packets.

Does anyone know of a free packet generator that will do this?

I found them on http://packetstormsecurity.com. Most of these type of programs are UNIX based so I hope you either have some C skills or a UNIX compatible machine 😉

Very little UNIX skills but we do have a UNIX box and one of the engineers will be working with me on it. Thanks again.
