I have an AIW Radeon that I overclock to 184 without problems. I can go to 190 before I notice any unusual behavior. Highest 3dmark2000 has been 5525.

I have an LE version and have hit 192/192 and run several sets no artifacts...I run it at safe 185/185.

I have large fan blowing directly onto card and ram sinks...The ram is the weak point here. Many reports have it being only rated for 166 (may be for oems only, retail may be better). So like Pc133 ram the good stuff most can only get a 15-20% boost safely...I think the limit is around 195.

Using new tweaking programs at rage3d.com one now can asynch the mem and core...The gpu is much stronger and many have shown that gpu can go up and over 200. I have seen many 205-210's while leaving mem at 190-195, and getting increase in scores. Some argue fillrates decrease, but you will have to judge that.

GPU runs still cool...but I recommend placing a fan on it or do as I am with more direct air onto card...definitely ram sinks.

Most of the 6ns labelled chips that the 32MB DDR board uses will run at 5ns - i.e. 200mhz. The chip core is certainly good for this. I can reach 200/200 easily with powerstrip, and some people report 205 to 210Mhz without additional cooling. The nwe Raid-on-tweaker 4.1 should be interesting as it provides asynchronous overclocking of the core and memory too.

I run my board at 200/200. Any higher and artifacts start showing up. I too am interested in the new tweaker to see if it really runs async or not. An old version of Powerstrip let you adjust them separately, but they were really still locked together. That is what makes me skeptical.

I can only run mine at 180/180 without getting artifacts. I can run the core at 183 and memory at 180, but that seems to degrade performance. I am dissapointed with the overclock, since my Voodoo 3 2000 overclocked to 183 from 143 and my Hercules MX OEM (7ns RAM) overclocked to 220c/210m. I am not dissapointed with the performance gain from the measely 14mhz though. I got nearly 1 fps for every mhz added at 1024*768 in Quake 3 Demo 1. I went from roughly 63fps to 77.5 fps by overclocking just 14mhz. It also made the game run smoother.

Check your memory chips. My Radeon LE has memory chips with this part number: K4D62323HA-QC60. A quick Google search leads me to the spec sheet on the Samsung K4D62323HA. It lists the maximum frequency for the QC60 part as 166MHz.

(with 5.5 being 183MHz and 5.0 being 200MHz).

Of course, the GPU is rated to at least 183MHz. I've been running my LE oc'd to 176MHz, but I added a fan to the GPU heatsink. I think I'll add heatsinks to the ram and bump it to 183MHz.
