Ug, maybe that title was too long. Anyways, I got in on the hot-deal from a couple weeks ago for the MV920. Anyways, a working one finally arrived on Friday, and after plugging it in, I'm pretty disappointed with the image. I'm trying to figure out if I got >yet another< faulty one, or if maybe my video card isn't working right with it.
Anyways, I can see the ... um... not sure how to describe this... the little dots/banding lines... Hard to explain, but the image looks like s#@t. Even my roommate started laughing, saying it was a POS monitor. I stopped by Frys yesterday and took a look at the MV940 (I know, different model). But, the MV940 didn't show any of these banding/dots. Maybe I can take a JPG or something of it.
So, could my Geforce2 be causing this problem? I've got my old 17 inch Sony 200sx, and don't see these dots/lines at all. Or could it be the monitor itself? Compaq is pretty prompt with sending out replacements. Called them Tuesday night around midnight and received the new monitor on Friday.
