Looking for opinions on a few bands

I'm going to pick up a couple of CDs today, and am thinking about getting the latest from at least one of the above. I know echobelly has been around for a little while, but I haven't heard any of their previous stuff. I like all the songs from the above bands that I hear on XM (mostly XMU). Online samples are a bit too short - I've been suckered in and talked out of things from those 30 second samples before and regretted it. But from the samples, I like the Dears the most of the three. Rollingstone and Amazon user reviews are pretty sparse for these bands...

I have pretty ecclectic tastes, though I do lean towards radiohead, tool, etc.

Anyone heard the latest albums from any of these bands?

Echobelly's still around, huh? I've got Lustra, it's alright, but their sound could have changed a lot since then. Haven't heard of the others.

I saw "The Dears" when they were touring with Matt Good. I give their performance a "wtf?" Their style at that time anyway was quite bizarre. But if that's your thing.

The songs I've heard on XM are kind of like a more melodic moby, lots of instrumentals with a sort of thom yorke-like vocal quality (long, wandering notes type stuff).
