I just replaced the O.E. battery on my Sanyo RL-4930 cell phone. The replacement battery arrived charged, I ran it down over a couple of days, and then charged it up. It worked great for a few days but now it doesn't seem to want to charge after a few minutes. The charging indicator stops blinking as if it was fully charged but after a minute the battery is going dead. I switched back to the original battery and it seems to be charging fine. Does this sound like a bad battery? It was sold as a "My Bat" brand battery, which is supposedly good.

Sounds like a bad battery.

Bummer. This time of year it will be a painful process getting an RMA.

I almost threw out the old one but luckily I've learned somehow not to do such things.

I'm in a similar boat. I ordered two oem batteries from Meritline.com to find out that they just clones from China. When fully charged, they last about 3 hours. I'm RMA'ing them and getting a refund for them being defective.

Any recommendations on where to working batteries?
