I'm looking for a Nikon SLR with rotating screen and a 20-250mm lens with total cost of ~1300$. I was thinking about Nikon D5200 and Sigma 18-250 macro

I want to buy only Nikon with a rotating screen. Do you guys have better offer?

20-250 is quite a specific focal length requirement that really limits your lens options. When a lens has to cover such a wide focal range, optical sacrifices have to be made. You end up with a lens that can "do everything" but also not quite as sharply or with less distortion than if you were to use a pair of shorter lenses to cover the same focal range. Also a lens that covers that range will be quite large and heavy compared to lenses that don't cover as much focal length. Is there a reason for such a specific range requirement?

I didn't know that lens existed for Nikon. Looking at the reviews though it's soft. Really soft.

These crazy super zooms sacrifice a lot to get these focal lengths. Not sure which one to recommend but I'd probably read a bunch of reviews and make sure you're getting what you want. They all sacrifice something. Sharpness, Distortion, Build Quality, Image Stabilization and it's effectiveness, etc. For an all around lens that you're going to take snapshots with though it'll work fine.

As far as the rotating screen I'm pretty sure the D5000-D5200 is your only option. The D5200 is a very good choice.
