I was looking at the Iphone or the galaxy s2 but I dont know which carrier to go with I plan to use a lot of data.

Epic Touch on Sprint, if you live in a WiMax area.

That's actually your only option for high speed >2gb now, unless you want to pay an extra fee to get to 4-5gb on the Big Two. I assume you're asking because you're not grandfathered somewhere.

If you don't use a *lot* of data (less than 2GB per month) then at&t and verizon are fine options as well as t-mobile (they throttle around 5GB I think). Anyways a lot of folks have been complaining recently with regards to sprint data speeds so it is not clear to me it is (or is not) the best way to go...

The photon is probably the best phone for sprint; the epic touch has a reception issue that has not yet been fixed (search LOS epic touch). Basically the phone antennae shuts down and you have to power cycle to re-enable. Anyways that's what the folks at xda think is happening.

Sprint (unlimited) or T-Mobile, assuming you can get a good signal where you need it. Sprint still has unlimited data, and T-Mobile, while limited, is not unreasonable. T-mobile also has several Android models with WiFi tethering enabled at no charge.

Verizon rocks with its LTE data network. It's what I use now, and it's amazing. I get fast data (almost equivalent to wired, but slightly more latency) in the cities, and 1-1.5 Mbps on downloads in rural areas. But I wouldn't sign up at today's rates. (I'd stay with the T-Mobile plan I had before, and just accept that they only have reasonable data service in cities.)

i have the tmobile g2x but my account is suspended because it was a family plan and my brother went with metropcs lol, i might call and try to get a single line with tmo again. What do u guys think?

edit- went ahead and called tmo and got an individual plan everywhere else i checked the price was just too high for unlimited everything

It really depends on where you live and who has the best coverage of your area.
