Hello all, currently looking to upgrade a Thinkpad X1 Yoga (20FR model, with SSD listed as "256GB SSD Opal2") to a 1TB drive. I'm pretty much locked into the M2 form factor and was hoping for some advice.

I'm currently thinking of the 850 EVO (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147567&cm_re=m.2_ssd-_-20-147-567-_-Product) but am wondering whether I should wait for the release of the 960 EVO, which will apparently come with a 1TB option. I mostly do text editing/writing (mostly LateX and Word), some light gaming (no AAA titles and no titles after 2010 actually), browsing and listening to music. I very rarely (almost never) work with large files, and will only be transferring files over to the SSD once.

Given my usage, is there any substantial benefit in waiting for the 960 EVO (and paying that extra amount of money) or should I just go with the 850 EVO? Any and all advice appreciated. Many thanks in advance!
