Looking for new LCD TV

I am helping my wife's family look for a new lcd tv. I am having a little trouble finding one so I was hoping you guys could help.

At least 50"
Preferably LCD but could go DLP
Around 1K not to much over
I was looking at Samsung since I have one of their older models and Mitsubishi for the DLP.
They do not want to buy online so something in a B&M store.


I appreciate any help or direction you can give thank you.
 
I'm really happy with our Vizio 47" Razor LED model with Wifi. The larger sets looked nice too. It's edge lit LED, so not full array/local dimming, BUT it fit within my wife's parameters. She really liked the look of the ultra thin sets, and this one does it.

Built in wifi w/ a Netflix app is a big plus for me. Also has Vudu and Amazon. Complete list of apps here:
