LOOKING FOR: New Keyboard & Mouse

OK,
I bought a Microsoft Wireless 3.0 Kb & Mouse set a couple weeks ago and I hate it. The space bar blows, especially for Battlefield 2. If you dont hit it directly in the center, it is worthless. And I just thought that I wanted wireless, until I got this one. Once again, I get the Low Signal warning all the time, and I even moved the reciever about 6in away from the keyboard and it still does it. And as for the signal during gaming, once again, forget it. It interupts a game at random and sometimes it just doesnt even respond. I have read that all these problems are very common with Microsoft's current lineup. I was going to sell it and buy a chorded MS 4000 set but read the same problems from it about the space bar and keys. I need a good all-around keyboard that satisfies my every-now-and-then gaming needs but keeps my wife from slinging it out the window.Anyone out there that has any suggestions please, please, please help.

keyboard: microsoft natural 4000 wired

My only advice is to avoid FLock like the plague. I would personally like to stab the guy that thought it would be a good idea to require you to press a key to activate your function keys everytime you reboot. Not that their little "shortcuts" aren't great or anything...

2. Go to Newegg and find the above
3. Buy it

I have owned two 4000s so far and the second one is going back today. The keyboard sucks as far as the keys go. It's weird because there are two types of people when it comes to keyboards. The ones who like the keys very hard and firm and then the others, like myself, who would rather have the keys be very soft when press down. I can type ten times faster than I can with keys that are harder to push than the norm.

The G5 is a really nice wired mouse, and the G7 is a great wireless mouse.

I have the G7 and I can comment on it:
- The batteries go every 1.5-2 days, however there is always a fresh one on the charger so it's only a 10 second switch.

- The mouse is a bit slippery, apparently the G5 is much grippier

- the response is unbelieveable. There is NO lag at all (likely why the batteries don't last as long)

- the range is simply amazing. I set the left/right scroll buttons for skip forward/reverse in my media player, and I can use the mouse anywhere in my house as a remote.

- I wish it had another button on the left side, but it's not that big of a deal

- the in game sensitivity adjustments (you can set 5 settings) are handy

I'm a big fan of MS Natural keyboards, but I don't know what I'll do when this one dies. The 4000 might be the way to go.

I'm still using my 6 year old craptastic Microsoft Internet Keyboard (you tell me the model). Oddly though, my work place somehow figured that MX1000 laser mice were necessary for mild e-mail/database entry use. Suffice it to say, I've had the chance to try it out, and to me, it seems pretty heavy (battery?) compared to regular opticals, but it is very smooth and accurate. So like people above said, MX1000 is nice (too much got me).
