Looking for new job...still in high school...anyone know about employee discount programs?

I've read about the discounts given at Best Buy...but what about other retail stores...im specifically wondering about the chain of Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy...but what about other retail clothing stores like AE and such, or maybe circuit city? does anyone specifically know anything about discounts at any of these places? for now i work at kmart, but it sucks and im looking for something a little nicer, although not too much

I am pretty sure you get employee discount on most of the stores you mentioned. My friend used to work at Banana Republic when he was still in school. I used to mooch of his discount all the time.

oh..i know the vast vast majority of retail stores and most/all clothing stores offer discounts (you have to wear their products to work), but what exactly is the discount is more of what im looking for...my friend applied at the gap recently but she didnt know really waht the discount was...anyone??

The Banana Republic stores in my city seem to be extremely racist. I walked in there with an African American friend of mine and they followed us with 3 different employees. We were dressed up in our school uniforms too (private high school). I wnet into another location a year later and an employee just wouldn't stop following me until I left the store - it is disturbing.

Yah, Banana Republic can die.

A friend of mine worked at a store in Miami and her discount (for herself) was 50% off.
