Looking for new Intel Motherboard

Hi guys,
I`m new around here so if you feel like flaming me due to the nature of the question, please have patience with the noob.

I have a 939 AMD NF4 Lanparty motherboard and am looking to upgrade.
Intel is going to be my choice this time and I'm kind of lost on the Intel realm.
I need a motherboard that doesn't burn up and allows for overclock...
Any suggestions?

Just a suggestion, take a look at the first post in this section - the sticky by renethx - it will give you a day's worth of reading on both Core2 and AMD motherboards. You may get some solid advice and suggestions there. So rather than go though what renethx has already done (and is still doing), take a look there. Then come back here (or there) with any specifics that we can help you with.

Thanks Noel, appreciate you taking the time to reply to my post.
I`ve been browsing around since this morning and am getting a better sense of the new Intel cards.
 
You're probably going to be looking at the P35 chipset, but to actually recommend a motherboard it's important to know how many drives and cards you're expecting to connecting to it, and of what types.

(A price range is also helpful.)
