So I hit up Ford and dodge last night and drove the Charger with the v-8 (no v6's on the lot). It was a nice amount of power and the outside is very nice, but I'm not a big fan of the dash. While I was there I also drove a challenger (v6 no v8's on the lot). That is a very pretty car (speaks to the cars I drooled over in my youth). They really want to move the v6 off the lot and are giving a pretty good deal if I take it. I'm actually tempted (even though it's contrary to what I thought I wanted in a car).

The Ford Fusion Ti I drove was also very nice. I wasn't a big fan of all the touch sensitive buttons for everything but overall it was a nice ride. My wife really likes it.

So i'm a dilemma now. Buy the adult car my wife wants me to have or buy the car the 16 year old inside me wants to have. And if I buy that car, do I take the v6 or try to make a v8 a daily driver.

DON'T Take the Charger v6 WITHOUT the 8-speed transmission and be aware you'll regret not having it in the v6 Chally and wish you either had the R/T with the v8 or waited another year for the 8-speed transmission, which is coming. Can you get the v6 challenger with a stick? I forget.

The v6 doesn't come in a stick sadly. I'm really seriously thinking about picking u a R/T Plus challenger.

You could probably even get an SRT8 if you want to get one a year old. That's a hell of a lot of car... I would go SRT if I was getting a Challenger.

I've decided it's time to trade in the my '09 Corolla for something newer and a bit more upscale (but not over 40k). I'm looking for input on new 2013 cars that are worth my consideration.

So far I'm enjoying the Toyota Avalon and Camry, as well as the Honda Accord, but I'm not sure what else I should check out. Is the Ford Fusion in this class? I wasn't too hot on the Passat as the interior just wasn't as comfortable to me.

So in any case, any suggestions on other cars to look at before I make a decision?

I drove the new Avalon and just bought a 2012 Camry Hybrid XLE. The Avalon is a really nice car and I liked it a lot but the price was just too much. Camry isn't quite as nice or as large but works better for me for commuting.

Both cars are quiet and comfortable.

Fusion is in the Camry class but I haven't driven it so I cannot comment on it. I like the way it looks though.

I'm all over the place now LOL.

So I went and looked at a A4. I liked it a lot and the price is pretty good. I told him I really didn't want to be there though so he talked me into driving a gti and a passat tdi.

I have to say I actually ended up liking the passat a lot more this time around. I think it's having other cars to compare it to. I also looked at a golf r. I'm not sure if I'd like driving stick full time though.

So now (as if I wasn't already all over the place in what I want), I'm thinking I might want a gti autoban, a passat tdi or a a4.....I really need to figure out what the hell I'm looking for in a car.

That said, I've written off the challenger and charger, I just can't justify it. The more I think about it the less I like the fusion and the avalon. I might just go with the A4....it's still up in the air.

Well, finally I decided on the A4.

I found a dealer with a 2013 A4 that was turned in on a 6 month lease. It's a fully loaded premium plus and black on black. It has 7k miles on it and I picked it up for well within my budget.

Overall I'm pretty happy.
