Looking for new alarm clock...

Hey guys! I'm in the market for a new alarm clock that has a blue LED display...my only other requirement would be that it has to have a battery backup spot so I can put a 9V battery in there somewhere for short power outages and such.

Anyone know of a decent brand/make/model or could help point me in the right direction?

Gah, didn't even think of Wal-Mart. I hate supporting their stores though, but I did find this. Looks alright, but I hope the blue is easy to read. I saw one once, I think it was from Timex, but the blue was a kind of neon blue and was so easy and sexy...yum. 😛
 
Why would you WANT a clock with a bright-ass blue LED display? Don't plan on sleeping? 😛
 
I like blue over red. Still have a $10 GE radio-alarm I bought at Walmart 6 years ago. Red is fading slightly now... On a sunny day you can't see jack.

Bright in the day, dims at night! I think that RCA one is my best bet...

my thoughts exactly. even dimmed, blue led's are hella annoying in the dark.

PSH! It's too purdy to be annoying...😉 Is green any better at night? Red is so boring and it's an evil color!
 
Green is okay, but IMO, still pretty bright. Red isn't the nicest color, but it's the easiest to sleep by.

Some of us don't have trouble sleeping because of little lights in the room....imagine that!

i don't own an alarm clock. unless i'm super-jetlagged, i just tell myself to wake up at a certain time and i usually wake up 10 minutes before that time.
 
I got one from sharper image, for like $15...
has everything you're looking for blue LED, battery backup, it even has date, and temp, I can't find a pic of it online anywhere, it is kind of an old model...
