I actually have the Acer 22" widescreen AL2216W (Black). I like it. I was trying to decide between the Samsung and the Acer 22" widescreens before buying this one. I researched both brands and found a lot more Samsung LCDs were more likely to have dead pixels than Acer LCDs... I don't know if that is true, but it was enough to convince me to try the Acer... the price was also a factor in the decision. I have nothing against Samsung. I actually own a Samsung HDTV and they also make extremely silent, cheap, quality hard drives. I say that either one would be alright. I have noticed some "bleed" on this panel, but it's nothing to cry about... at least not to me. I have no dead pixels on this Acer panel and that was one of my biggest fears in buying a LCD. That's my opinion.
