The consensus seems to be that's a really good board. I'm running on a P5Q Deluxe, and it's a thing of beauty. The P5Q Pro is pretty much the same board methinks, without some of the bells and whistles of the Deluxe, if you want a less expensive part

Edit: damn spelling errors

I have the P5Q Pro and it's been great. I hd looked at that Gigabyte board, but I decided on this ASUS and I'm very pleased with it. My guess is you would be happy with either one.

The only con I have for the P5Q is the placement of the floppy IDE. I was going to put one in simply because I have a floppy and you never know, but with the placement of the MB connector I just left it out.

asus doesn't have engrish in the manual like gigabyte... but the asus board has pitiful connections in comparison. except for SATA on which it has a little more on higher end ones... but look at this... 8 USB in the back SPDIF optical AND digital out. usb mini (or is that a firewire mini?) full size firewire, a second gigabit ethernet port... a second PCIe slot...
That gigabyte is decked out.

Thanks.
Think I may go with the GA-EP45-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard.
Should run my e6600 and ddr2 ram with no issues. Plus I don't run a raid setup.
