EAC .. takes a bit into setting up, many good guides via google search
cdex is easier to setup.

But CDex and EAC will only let me use my CDclone virtual drive to RIP from and how can I do that, anyone know how to fix that

Not sure what you mean here - do you mean that CDex can't see your CD-drive?

yes in my Rig I have 3 CD drives but the Riping software will only see the virtual drive, and not the CDROM, CDRW or DVD

I did use EAC once on a cracked CD - EAC has something that I can't seem to find in CDex; it might not have it - the ability to slow down the read speed. I had to read this CD at 2x with max error correction, otherwise it'd give a lot of static.

I personally find EAC to be too picky... Only certain ASPI's work well with it, and it doesnt tend to be very user friendly for a n00b who is looking to just start it up and go with it. I agree though, once you master the interface, there's nothing like it - but I feel I get the same benefits out of CDex without any headaches to worry about.
