Looking for MP3 player

Can anyone suggest an MP3 player? This will be my first, just looking to fool around with it so I'm not looking for an iPod or something.

It must be as cheap as possible and it must be small. And it must be able to take an extra memory module.

And what's the best memory to use? CF I assume is the cheapest. Any disadvantages? Anyone know a site which compares all the different memory types?

I brough this one a few months ago for $135CDN, which is like 85US. its pretty good, but it has a few kinks.

Its also sold as the Compaq iPaq PM-1
 
I have a Sony MZ-N505 Minidisk MP3 player and it's great. You can fit 65-80 songs on a disk depending on how long they are and the disks are about $3 each (they are a lot like a floppy, completely re-writable). It's was $300 CAD for me but it has a MFSP of 149.95 US.
