I want to use 2200G for some gaming. Just tell me about a motherboard that will just work (cheapest possible, but good enough)
I will probably overclock the processor.

Do you want ITX, or micro-ATX, or even ATX? Some ATX boards don't have video outputs for the built-in iGPU in the 2200G. Most micro-ATX and pretty-much all ITX do.

I would consider going ITX.

I've got the Asrock B450 Fatal1ty Gaming ITX/ac board. Not cheap but definitely a nice loaded board.

My 2200G runs great in it as my HTPC.

Put an MSI B450 Tomahawk in my Mom system with a 2200G and it has been working perfectly!

I'd suggest the Asrock B450m Pro4 or its variants. Pretty decent board, 2 m.2 slots, more than enough power delivery for a 2200G. You could get by with the HDV instead but it's only $10 or so difference.

For the AMD APUs I recommend something with a heatsink on the the SOC portion of the VRM but many ITX and uATX don’t have them.

Asrock and Gigabyte offer these...I recommend the Asrock Steel Legend uATX board. It doesn’t have built in WiFi but that can be added easily enough.
