I'd go with the ASRock. With future Conroe support on the ASUS in doubt, the ASRock definitely has better CPU support. The ASRock already has many BIOS updates (another released today in fact), and is essentially Version 2 of the 775Dual-880Pro, so BIOS refinement is probably better than the ASUS. Since it is a 'new' model billed for use with Vista, ASRock should be supporting it for a long time.Originally posted by: Traveler
Asrock or Asus, this seems like a trade off, either cpu or gpu, only one possible upgrade in the future.
It can be overclocked but not very well.Originally posted by: Traveler
thx, then I'll go for asrock.
It does provide OC option, does it?
It has all the requisite overclocking options and features, albiet on a budget. This isn't a $150 ~ $200 enthusiast-class board. It does provide OC option, does it?
This is only true for 1066MHz bus processors. People are getting much higher on 800MHz bus processors. It can be overclocked but not very well.10-12% over stock is about the limit right now although they did release a new bios today that might improve this?
