I have a 2.25 gighz a64 w/ 1024s of pc3200 ram. Would upgrading form a bfg 6800 oc nu to a ati x800xt help me play at 1280 x 1024 in WoW and Guildwars with the setting raised high? Right now I can't.
 
I honestly would not bother wasting the money to upgrade your card at this point. You have a very good card that will last you for a while.

With that said, in GW I can play 12x10 4xAA/8xAF with little to no performance loss with my set up. You may want to check your drivers.
 
no he only has 1/2 the memeory at 150mhz slower than gt speeds.
as for upgrading, it will be faster but not worth it since the x800xt prices will likely drop onec the G70 comes out, scheduled for a few weeks from now. wait a while.
 
Sorry to say FearoftheNight, but you fubar'd your system. GW has stupid low system requirements, I'm running at 80-100fps with my rig with max detail in 1600x1200.

My XP 2600 w/stock 9600 pro + 512mb ram runs at like 60 fps with max detail and 1024x768.
