Hey all, basically I have a Lian Li PC-C33B case and I need a heatsink for it. I tried a xigmatek hdt-s1283 but it's too tall, by about an inch. The xigmatek is list as 6.25" tall, so to be safe I will say that the max height is 5".

I found some threads about low profile heatsinks and the big shuriken was brought up. It looks nice, but I was wondering if I might do a little better because I do have some more room than the average HTPC (this is a huge HTPC case).

If this were a few years ago I would get the Freezer 7 Pro. I remember that being an awesome bang/buck HSF, but has it been replaced?

I will be using this on an E5200 OC'ed to 3.6ghz w/ a P35-DS3R. I'm looking to spend $30-40. Any suggestions?

the shuriken can take the heat. the e5200 is not a hot processor. most people get 3.6ghz with the stock heatsink. if you worried. get a thicker fan for it.

the zipang 2 would be worth looking too. its 105mm tall or ~4inchs.

The zipang 2 looks great but it's pricey and not sold by a lot of places.

I went with the big shuriken for $37. It's very quiet at least and will come in extra handy if I ever switch to a micro atx case.

As you said the e5200 at 3.6ghz is not going to push this heatsink too hard anyway.
