looking for MB fo i7 3rd gen with vt-d and IPMI

Looking for a Motherboard with this specifications, any ideas????

- LGA1155, 3rd generation i7 (4- or 6-core, e.g. i7 3970X)
- 2 x SATAIII with RAID 1 (as minimum) for SSD RAID = caching?
- USB 3.0
- vt-d and vt-x support
- 32MB RAM or more
- IPMI (2.0) or similar

VT-X is purely handled by the CPU. VT-D however requires CPU+Chipset+BIOS support. For chipset that limits you to Q77 on LGA1155.

X79 chipset do support VT-D. However the only CPU besides Xeons is the newly released 3970X.

Maybe you should look into LGA1155 and LGA2011 Xeons instead.

Yes that's the challenge, found MB without IPMI like:
- msi Z77A-G45 (TB)
- ASRock Z77 Extreme6/TB4 (decided now not to go with Thunderbolt as USB3.0 speed should be ok for external HDD-Backup)
- GA Z77P-D3

Supermicro has some newer ones with IPMI, but only 4core and only 16GB !!! (X9SPV-LN4F-3QE).
At Intel I was not able to find such board.

yes, exactly this 6core CPU with vt-d I am planning to use...
6core XEON's are only with Sandy (like Xeon E5-4607), no Ivy's right?

Maybe someone knows a MB with this features, otherwise I have to readjust...

Note that you list Z77 boards. Not Q77.

Try look at the E3 Ivys. They are marked as v2.

And then also look for the LGA1155 C216 chipset with VT-D support as well.
