I want the fastest P4 notebook that uses the Mobile CPU not the desktop (burn your lap for free) stuff.

Why P4? Why not go for the fastest Centrino/Dothan (I think that's what they're called) Processors from Intel?
 
yes but the fastest I found was 2.0 gig and that as p4. I haven't seen a centrino any faster than 1.5.
 
Umm... the Pentium M (Dothan) goes up to 2.0GHz at the moment. That's one fast mother! Comparable to at least a 3.0GHz Pentium 4. Not sure if the 1.7/1.8 thing applies.
