I find laptop keyboard much easier to type on because of the shorter key movement distances and the lower tension esp. when I'm tired. a flat profile also makes my wrist more comfortable. and the relative quietness is a bonus as well.

so can anyone recommend such a keyboard that is relatively common since I live in Canada where selection is more limited and I would rather not order across the border?

thanks in advance

thanks :) the Dinovo looks awesome but is a little more than what I'm willing to pay for a keyboard/mouse combo. I'll see if I can find the Ultra X around

I've got the dinovo now and figured I should pick up an UltraX in case I need a backup. Seems as though all the new USB versions have a hideous L shaped Enter key. :(

I should have picked one up before they switched designs.

Asian...,

Get a PS/2 model and one of those PS/2 to USB adapters - best of both worlds...

And Benq has several units with notebook style keys (they call it X-structure) - many seem to like the feel. And several of them are USB/PS/2 dual interface.
