Looking for Laptop for a teacher and light gaming

First off thanks for the help - I would like to order soething this week !

On the productivity level I will be working on basic web pages, and using MS Office including Access and Powerpoint.

On the entertainment level I will be playing games with reasonable requirements (Warcraft 3, DoW, DAoC, AoE III) but nothing extreme (no FPS).

I do have a desktop and a Dell 2005 widescreen monitor at home.

The main purpose is to work on grades, powerpoint for lectures, design labs, and work on the class web page away from my desk. The network at school is not reachable from home so it will be nice to have a computer I can travel with and get some work done away from staying late at school or being chained to my dek at home and then transporting files to school the next day.

My Budget is ~$1500. Bonus points for staying under it while able to go to $1800 if there is a huge difference.

EDIT : changed title to make it clear that I am looking for a suggestion - not that I have one

Have you considered this
I have ordered 2 days ago, and will be coming 2-3 days from now, theseThinkpads are something you can rely on , they are a bit on the expensive side because they are worth it. not like some mainstream laptop from dell that will take crap 6 times/year.

Well, AOE III looks quite demanding...

Yup, you will need shader model 3 (Nvidia 6000 series GPU) to enjoy the eye candy as well.

Maybe the Dell 9300?

Didn't realize that AoE III was that demanding, how about scratching that then. I do not want to base a laptop off any one game.

I think nearly any laptop over $1000 will do whatever you want to do fine, except maybe for AOEIII, which I doubt will run on anything except Dell Inspiron XPS Gen2.
