Title says it all

1.) <2k
2.) 1900x1080+
3.)<8 lb
4.)durable and reliable

Any suggestions, I've been looking at a few VIO Laptops on newegg.com, they dont have many reviews tho.

Thanks in advance

Lenovo Ideapad Y730. The $1199 one has decent specs. According to Lenovo, the laptop weight (with battery and optical drive) weights 7.9lbs.

The Lenovo Thinkpad W500 is well within your price range. Weight 5.8lbs (15.4") according to Lenovo.

I can't comment on the quality of the Ideapads, but the Thinkpad T-series is definitely reliable so I would assume the same for the Thinkpad W-series.

Lenovo W Series, which is the performance version of the T series, have 1900x1080 displays. They're tanks. I highly recommend them over the other series of Lenovo's.

Any specific specs that you need?

You can build a barebones laptop that meets your requirements and get a lot of bang for your buck.

Otherwise a Sony or Lenovo would fit the bill perfectly.

The OP was from over 2 years ago... almost every single 1080p computer less than 8lbs is <$2000
