Everyone in controls system has seen the good old inverted pendulum on a cart problem, and theres a nice demo animation in matlab, however my professor has a thing for labview and my project needs to be done within it.
For my animation, I am trying to do the system of a pendulum on a cart, AKA a crane. This is essentially the same system as the inverted pendulum on a cart, but flipped, so no RHP poles in the open loop system. I understand the modeling and control of this system and plan to implement a PID/Leadlag controller, but animation is totally baffling me.
To sum it up, I totally suck with lab view, and I am having major difficulty finding help on animation topics.
At the moment I have a block diagram with some mathscript parameters which leads into a waveform chart, and displays a step response in torque at the base of the pendulum.
At the moment I want to just animate the pendulum, since I figure once I can figure out how to draw a moving line with a ball at the end, I can pretty much draw anything else I want to from there.
The pendulum in question is a stiff massless rod with a point mass at the end.
