I tried watching 24 in German. It's wayyy too fast paced for me to pick up on ANYTHING. Plus, something like 24 is bound to have a lot of slang, but I wish to be exposed to good grammar.
I think if I were to watch some simple, kid movies, I could probably pick up on the language a bit, or at least have better exposure to it. So basically, I need some recommendations. Not all kid shows/movies are bland... but I'm not sure which ones those are. For example, the Spongebob Squarepants movie was actually pretty funny. Finding Nemo was a good one, too. These "young audience" movies seem to have simpler diction and more streamlined grammar than adult oriented movies, which would be perfect for my purposes.
I don't plan on learning German just from watching movies. I'm working through Rosetta Stone right now, plus I have a few German friends that I can practice speaking with. I'd like to get a movie collection going in order to keep immersing myself in German.
And if you're wondering, Spanish is my first language, followed by English. I can read and write a good amount of Portuguese, too, but I can't pronounce anything correctly.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions
