I posted this in peripherals, but no response.

My logitech internet keyboard has been through a LOT in the past few years, and I finally accidentaly broke off the plastic wrist rest that connects to the base of the kb. I never noticed how much I need that thing, I can't hardly use the keyboard without it! its driving me crazy!

I'm looking for a new keyboard, not a cheapie. I'd like to get one with a touchpad built in, but all the ones I've seen with that have the split-style ergonomic keys, which I HATE. I cannot use those, I taught myself to type at age 5, obviously I can type without looking at the keys, at about 75wpm accurately, not the fastest, but I don't do it correctly, and the way I type makes it impossible to use those damn split keyboards.

anyway, anyone reccoment a good keyboard with what I'm looking for? and programmable buttons/cd controls, etc. are a plus. wireless a plus too

I know that such a keyboard exists and it's at either Onvia, Buy, or Staples unfortunately I can't recall the brand name.

To save you some time, here are the product listings for keyboards at these three web sites. Keep an eye out, it's out there!

Onvia - FREE SHIPPING - 10% back from PointClick(dot)com if purchased between 6-10 AM ET
http://www.onvia.com/usa/products/index.cfm?CategoryID=459&SortBy=manufacturer

Buy - Several $10 off coupons available for new and existing customers
http://www.us.buy.com/retail/subcat.asp?loc=433

Staples - $20 off $50 coupon - free shipping if your order is $50 or more (after coupon)
http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/Class.asp?PageType=3&ClassID=140469

Hope this helps ...

thanks for the links. there was 1 (only 1) I found, I think at buy.com, all the rest had ergo style layouts, it was from a brand I'd not heard of, and it sounded like a basic windows keyboard with the touchpad built in. extra features would have been nice like programmable buttons, volume/cd controls, wireless, or usb, etc. but if I can't find another one I'll likely pick that one up. thanks
