Looking for keyboard, DVD and video card advice

Ok, I've got most of my new build sitting around in boxes or on delivery trucks. I'm going to wait on the high-end video cards until early next year once prices come down and/or a die-shrink cools them down a bit. So... I'm also going to wait on the big monitor, because those always drop in price over time as well.

But since I've got everything else, I just want to slap something temporary in, and I'm looking for some advice.

I'm looking for a PCIe video card to run a 17" 1280x1024. Not too many pixels there, and for the short-term I don't need killer frame-rates. Was thinking about getting an EVGA 7950GT and then stepping up, but I'm not sure 90 days is the correct time-frame. So... Something fairly cheap that will run Doom 3, BF 2, etc.

Is far as keyboards go, a know a lot of people like the Saiteks and Logitechs, but there is no way I'm going to buy one with painted letters that wear off. Looking for something with a nice soft touch (like a notebook keyboard) and has stickers for the letters. Ideas? This will be a long-term use item.

And I just need a temporary DVD-ROM. I'll get a SATA drive when they're more available next year. Samsung? Lite-on? Are they all the same if I'm not going to be burning discs?

Rest of the specs (already have):

Antec P180B
EVGA 680i
Seasonic M12 700
C2D E6600
Zalman CNPS9500
Corsair XMS2 PC6400C4 (2x1GB)
Seagate 7200.10 320GB
Create X-Fi Platinum
Creative Inspire P7800 7.1
Atlantic satellite speaker stands (x4)

And my old 16ms CTX 17" LCD...

Thanks for any thoughts...
