When someone says "learn a trade" they mean learn how to be a carpenter, plumber, mason or any of the other "trades".

Janitor/facility/cleaning services for hospitals? Usually good pay and good benefits.

You can get paid training to drive the big rigs!

In a few short weeks you could be getting paid to cruise the open road and not have human contact (or a shower) for days on end!

I know people that make $90,000/yr. and live in the back of their rig (no rent).

P.S.
You will meet lots of hot babes, too.

By babes do you mean men? And by meet do you mean drive past? 😛

I'm just real bad at driving, and a big danger to anyone on the road. I think it's a miracle i got my driver's license at all, especially since my instructor was so bad.

I'm 20 years old.

I don't know how to look for most of the suggested jobs, i don't see them online (hotjobs, craiglist, careerbuilder, etc.). Should i be looking in the paper or something?

Jesus dude, you fail at life. How can a 20-year-old be so horribly qualified to do anything? Don't you feel ashamed of yourself? I'm serious. I would feel like a complete pathetic loser if I was you. Mostly because I'd fit every definition of it.

WTF do you do all day? Sit around your parents' house and use thier internet connection?

Go back to school or something.

You must have millionare parents

seriously. I dont see how a person could be ok with your situation without some kind of financial backing.

I really need to get a job, i kind of want to get one actually. I'm not very 'qualified' though, and have no job experience or any kind of education (no GED or anything like that). I'm also kind of picky, because i want to get a job i will actually like somewhat. Something that pays well would be nice too. I have no idea what kind of work i want to get into, i know i don't have a whole lot of choice with no exp or edu, but i'm going to keep job hunting until i find something i'm interested in. I don't want to work at a fast food place or any lame job like that. All i can say is that i'm good with computers and don't like human contact very much 😛

I know people will probably say that i should go back to school, but that's not going to happen, or is very unlikely.

I'm just getting over an illness of some sort (don't care to elaborate), so i haven't been job hunting much in the recent past. I have been looking at job sites pretty often, but haven't found anything too interesting, just a lot of scams and work from home crap. Think i'm ready to get a job now though. I have been working for a family business for a while now too, but it's not even like a part time job, i just help out when i can. Somehow I keep busy with life as it is without a job, busy doing useless things though for the most part. I am posting this at 3 AM, so that should tell you something.

One place i might apply is at AOL tech support, they got a place here (in Tucson) and have open positions for full time. I don't think i want to help old people solve their computer problems all day though, even though it would probably be a good job, i think i'd be miserable all the time. I might try it though.

Anyways, any good job advice would be really appreciated, thanks 🙂

Well, I dont know how old you are. And you don't have to say it if you don't want to. But starting your own business might be a good choice for someone like yourself if you are young (younger than 40.) You don't necessarily have to have a unique idea, just something that might work. Maybe a computer business, repairs, building them, something like that. I don't think you would need much capital to start a company like that. The work will always be a little different. And you don't need any qualifications when you work for yourself.

*Hijack*

I also need some job ideas(just for the summer)

3) human contact ok but I'm a tad on the anti-social side
4) pay doesn't matter as long as I get enough to cover gas and food
5) will not work in fast food or delivery

Re-compute

I did a search and it looks like you asked the same question a couple years ago..

Is their any reason why you won't get your GED? You seem like someone smart enough to finish high school? Finish that up and go to a local college and get a degree in something and you'll open yourself to plenty of doors. I don't understand why you are so anti-school. It seems like the perfect place for someone like yourself. Air conditioned, no physical labor, 15 hours a week of class time, etc... I just don't understand how someone can be that lazy and not want to succeed and move forward in life unless you are expecting a huge inheritence or something...
