I go to L.A. Fitness and my old Sony Walkman struggles to get the FM transmissions for the local TVs. I want one with a good tuner and also will play my mp3's. I don't need Gigs of memory as all my stuff is on one CD.

So,
1. Good tuner for FM reception and
2. good sound for my music
3. the smaller the better
4. cheap
5. also, I don't like those in-the-ear speakers. The last pair I got kept falling out.

I don't know if SanDisk is good but I see it at newegg for < $100

FYI, you can get a MP3 player with FM, but due to size constraints, AM will be out of the question.

I have Creative Muvo TX FM 1 gb it is small and the FM reception comes in good. Comes with armstrap and beltclip, ideal for the gym.

Get that or the 512mb version. Just ordered one today at dell for 80 bucks shipped, hot deal. Also acts like a pen drive

Link? Better than SanDisk? I'd look but I'm medicated for a migraine and I'm not focusing very well. 20 minutes into the eliptical at L.A. Fitness and Aura began. Codeine is good. Well, not really but better than head exploding.
Newegg has Muvo TX FM and "Nomad Muvo TX FM Portable MP3 Player Model 73PD051100018" WTF.
