Looking for Intel board with SLI suggestions

I've been away from the scene for a while and my wife's computer just bit the big one (old AMD T-bird about 8 years old) so I'm looking at handing down my current rig and upgrading my own.
I've been looking all over, trying to find a motherboard to suit my next build and been having troubles finding one that fits that doesn't cost an arm and a leg (hoping to find one under 2 bills).
I'm just trying to find a board that will:
1. run a LGA 775 processor--probably a Q6600
2. SLI capable using 2 PCIe 2.0 16x
3. has more than 1 slot between the PCIe's.
4. would really like it to have at least one more PCI slot so I can still use my TV tuner card

On board gigabit LAN would be a plus, or I would need an extra PCI slot to install a 10/100/1000 ethernet card, same with onboard sound.
I'm using XFX 8800gt's with the Zalman coolers and the only thing I'm finding under $200 puts the vid cards so close to each other, they don't get much airflow.
I've been surprised not to be able to find any boards so far that will fit. I've seen boards that would work, but they only support Crossfire and the next closest match only has 1 slot between the vid cards, meaning the Zalman fan is actually touching the top of the other card.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and I'm not in a huge hurry, so if there's something that hasn't hit the market yet that would fit the bill, I could wait a while.
Thanks in advance!

I think Intel motherboards don't support SLI unless you go with a Nvidia mobo such as the 780i. Skulltrail i think might have sli capabilities but I'm pretty sure its not a good fit for the rig your looking at building. I say Nvidia 780i mobo should do u well. I'm not sure about the PCI slots though, looks to me like 2 PCI devices should fit but you should check that out yourself. anyways hope that helps

Only Nvidia chipsets do SLI on both AMD and Intel Platforms (not including Skulltrail in this- thats irrelevant) which is a shame since traditionally Nv chipset leave something to be desired over Intel MCP based motherboards. I'd recommend you have a look at the 750i boards, on offer from MSI and EVGA.

Sylvanas, that 750i seems like a good suggestion.

MSI's slots are too close, but I'm thinking the EVGA might be the best answer so far. Anyone have experience with this board? I'm seeing mixed reviews...some saying it's a great overclocker, others saying it's a pain.

I have a 750i SLI board. It's the Asus P5N-D. It has 2 PCIe x16 (version2.0) slots for some SLI madness and on-board RAID and sound. I have my E8400 overclocked to 3.91GHz (435x9) rock-stable at 1.4 volts. The Asus mobo is probably the best quality but is a little pricey at $160+. Just don't bother with DDR2-1066 as you can unlink the memory and FSB. This mobo only supports up to DDR-800 (DDR2-6400).:)
