Looking for infrared receiver to use with media center computer.

I have a logitech harmony xbox 360 universal remote. I want to be able to use it with my media enter PC as well as my other stuff, but I need a USB receiver to do this, right? Where can I get one at, does it have to be the one that comes with the media center remote, sicne that is likely where logitech gets the codes for it. Thanks

Axe yerself this: are there any available wot are cheaper than the MC remote/receiver combos? I doubt it, if you want a wired receiver for convenient placement as opposed to dongle wot sticks out of a USB port (front). In the olden days a univeral USB receiver alone was $50, now they are what $25 with a remote (thus simplifying teaching to a learning remote).

I had an idea :light:: maybe one of those cheap USB dongles would still work in the back if near a wall which the infrared could bounce off... particularly depending upon the power of the remote's transmitter.
