Looking for information....

I'm doing a little digging. Looking for the nearest city where the Armstrong Ranch is located. This is the ranch where Dick Cheney accidently shot Harry Whittingham. The only information I found is the ranch is located in south Texas.


As soon as someone comes up with the goods I'll tell you why.

I'm trying to find out how many miles it is from the ranch to the first hospital and the ranch to the second hospital. Once I know the city I'll use mapquest.

ARMSTRONG, TEXAS. Armstrong, a rural community on U.S. Highway 77 twenty miles south of Sarita in west central Kenedy County, is on the Missouri Pacific Railroad, originally constructed here as the St. Louis, Brownsville and Mexico Railway in 1904. The community was named for Capt. John Barclay Armstrong,qv who around 1893 founded the Armstrong Ranch two miles northeast of the site.

This one came up dry. The first hospital they took him to is much smaller then the one in Corpus Christi. The CC hospital is known to have better facilities. If the distance from the ranch to the first hospital was longer then the second hospital, my theroy would have been they took him to the first hospital so they could keep the story quiet.

Makes you wonder why Cheney even bothered letting the CC newspaper know about the incident through a hunting partner doesnt it?
