Looking for info about AF & AA

I've limped along for the last few yrs with a 9600XT & finally, thanks to mircocenter's sale, have jumped up to a 850XT.

I remember reading one quite awhile back about what AF & AA do along with the differences between the different levels but I can't seem to remember where I read it. Anyone have a good site to read up on this?

But what I'm looking for is more towards how they affect game image quality along with performance loss when using each at different settings.
