"Sorry about your wallet!"

I miss my K701's, RS-1's, modded Zhaolu D2C, and HeadFive. Now all I have is a pair of HD-595's. However I've been considering a pair of Denon AH-D5000's. :)

Fixed :p

I still have most of my junk. Once I got a complete system, I decided I was satisfied and I didn't want to upgrade.... except for one last pair of headphones.

My main rig is still a modded M-Audio Revolution -> Corda HA-1 Mk 1 -> Sennheiser HD-580's
I also have a pair of Etymotic ER-4P's for studying, and I couldn't resist getting the Grado HF-1's (limited edition SR-225's in wood housings made especially for head-fi, autographed by John Grado himself... HF = head-fi). They still get their use.

HD580s are love. Running mine out of an X-Fi and Go-Vibe V5 w/AD8620 opamps. :)

I had me some darth beyers. The whole bass thing dies out after a while, and sometimes gets incredibly annoying. I've found a sweet spot on my audiotechnicas

bought a pair of Sennheiser CX300. They sound really good. Better then the Sony EX71 that I still have. The CX300 were only £8.75 shipped from ebay. Sound GREAT for the price. Really pleased with them. And I thought the EX71 sounded good. Now it turns out the EX71 aren't bassy enough compared to the EX71.

The only problem is these type of headphone block out outside noise very well...can be a bit dangerous on a bike! But they do sound nice.

My hearing is probably f0cked from all the loud listening, so now I turn it down a few notches. But it is nice to hear the weighty mid range and bass at lower volumes also :)

Best headphones I've had and also the cheapest!

The KSC75's are THE best bang for buck headphone you can buy right now. About $22 CAD, but you can buy them at Ratshak for a lot cheaper. Head-Fi has most of the mods for it too.

Those sonsofbitches made me go from my e2c's to the super-fi 5 Pros, to the UE-5c's. Now they have me buying a goddamn headphone amp.

They really do mean "sorry about your wallet." Really.

Already register, already laid down 2,200+ posts, and already spent way too much money on audio... :(

Yup, they made me get sucked into an Etymotic ER4P w/ P-to-S adapter and a Little Dot Micro+ amp.
I'm in audiophile heaven now though. :)
I listen to music in a whole new way

Head-Fi is great, but some things get way overemphasized there. Far too many people buy into paying $150 for a 5" long cable and things like that. I've seen a few other things that I don't totally agree with, and a lot of people just buy into the latest fad and hype things up a lot. Also, sometimes you can't totally trust some of the sources as there's quite a few people who I think make their living off of selling products in that market. I'm not saying everyone or even anyone in specific, and there is a lot of excellent advice and help, and certainly it is worth checking out if you're even just interested in headphones. They do have a pretty nice DIY section too so thats something worth checking out as well.

I'm not bashing the site (I visit fairly often) but just trying to let people know whats up before they get sucked into spending $300 on headphones that "must have an amp to sound good", and don't bother with either of those if you don't have a $500 DAC.

I'm still in amped KSC75 heaven. While I may got for some good IEMs or a nice DAC (I notice my DAP is better than my PC), music costs too much to get much more equipment.
