I need an intense cardio workout for home that doesn't require equipment or movements that impact the knees too much. I've been doing a modified heisman routine, but I need something with a little more intensity.

Any suggestions?

What exactly do YOU consider hard on the knees?

It's a lot harder to get a serious cardio workout without using the legs and no equipment.

Try a rower, you can a pretty intense cardio session on something like a Concept 2.
I don't know how anyone can stand to use an elliptical.

they're both stationary so pretty much equally boring as shit to workout on. (that's not to say the C2 doesn't kick my ass a couple times a week but still...pretty monotonous).

Burpees? Seems like that would be harder on the knees.

Have you done a burpee? They are not high impact at all, at least not for me. If you have trouble doing a body weight squat or bending at the knee, I suppose they could be a problem, but they certainly don't cause a lot of impact on the knees. Maybe the jump at the end though, but you can simply not do that part if it aggravates your knees.

This x a lot.
The house would need to be on fire.

elliptical and recently re-enjoying the bike.

Stick with a bike, elliptical is too efficient usually to be the best bang for buck.

Unless biking hurts your knees.

In the end, any exercise is better than none.

HIIT is usually outside people with physical problems to deal with.

Love biking and glad to be back on it. It's a higher RPM and less pedal pushing but I'll take it.

Bolded...absolutely.

Stitches are coming out Monday so I should be good to go.
